What is panic mode?
Panic mode hides the ordinary text on your screen. The other person receives nothing different.
Step by step
- Open the menu and tap „Settings“.
- Turn on „Panic mode“ so that the gestures work.
- Open the chat.
- Find the top bar with the name.
- Tap it three times quickly, one after another.
- It works on the name, the „Back“ button, or the avatar.
- The avatar is the photo next to the name.
- Or shake the phone hard.
- The shaking works in the app.
- Only the coded view stays on the screen.
How you come back
- Tap the bar three times quickly again.
- Confirm with your face, finger, or the profile password.
- In the app, a face or a finger is asked first.
- That is if the phone has it.
- If there is none, or you refuse, the password comes.
- The screen is called „Unlocking“.
- There it says to enter the account password.
- Tap „Unlock“.
- In the browser a password is typed.
Good to know
- The ordinary text stays hidden until you leave.
- On the screen it may say „Panic mode“.
- No different message goes to the other person.
- The three taps also work in the browser.
- The gestures are the three taps and the shaking.
- You can stop them from the same settings.
- Stopping them does not take you out of the current view.
- While you are inside, the media from the ⋮ menu is hidden.
- On a first chat, a short window may appear.
- It explains the same mode.
- This mode does not delete keys.
- It does not delete the history either.
- On a wrong password it says „Wrong password“.
