What does the server keep, and for how long?

The server is the computer that carries the messages. With the current version and keys, it keeps an unreadable envelope instead of the text.

What stays

• You sign in with a name and a password.
• There is no phone number.
• There is an email only if you add it for recovery.
• That is in the menu, in „Protection and recovery“.
• The password is not kept as text.
• A trace stays that there is a conversation.
• It stays between whom it is.
• It also stays when it was.
• We do not say that there are no traces.
• At sign-in, the network address and the device are not recorded.
• For sign-in attempts a short record stays.
• The contacts and the group members stay.
• The invite code also stays.
• It stays whether you are online.
• It also stays when you were last seen.
• These two traces help the chat list.

How long media stays

• New photos, voice, and files stay for delivery.
• They stay for up to 15 days.
• After that the server no longer gives them.
• If you do not have a copy on the phone, you will not open them.
• In the chat a record stays that there was media.
• New files are kept in a few equal sizes.
• Their exact size is not kept.
• Old files open as before.

Good to know

• With an old version, or without keys, there can be an older mode.
• DanAIa receives only the coded text.
• It does not receive the meaning you write.
• We do not run ads from what is written.
• We do not make a profile in order to sell you something.
• Deleting the profile removes the messages from the server.
• It removes the files, the contacts, and the keys.
• This cannot be undone.
• Reports to the moderators stay readable.
• They stay so that we can read them.
