Why can I not open a message or a photo?

Often the message was sent to an old key. The photo, in turn, may be old and without a copy on the phone.

Check this

  1. Compare the numbers from the fingerprint with the other person.
  2. Accept the new fingerprint if their key has changed.
  3. Ask them to send the message again.
  4. Check whether the other person is on Gold, if the letter is from the foreign channel.
  5. Gather the sign, the key, and the letter.
  6. Do not wait for a set order between them.
  7. Look for a copy on the phone if the photo is older than 15 days.

Good to know

  • A message to an old key cannot be read.
  • After the new fingerprint, ask for a new message.
  • For the foreign channel you need the sign, the key, and the letter.
  • The order in which they come does not matter.
  • It may say „The recipient must be on Gold to read the message.“
  • The server is the computer that carries the messages.
  • It gives the photo, the voice, and the file for up to 15 days.
  • After that it no longer gives them.
  • Without a copy on the phone you will not open them again.
  • In the chat a record stays that there was media.
  • The file you send is up to 25 MB.
  • Voice in the browser often does not start.
  • Start it from the app.
  • Allow the microphone.
