Semantic dictionary: a smile in the text, separate from the encryption
The semantic dictionary in Semanty is a light, fun layer: friends write to each other with another word for a smile. It does not replace the encrypted chat.
The thematic dictionary is a way for the conversation to sound more playful. Instead of a plain smile, a word the two of you have already chosen can stand there. This is an inside joke, not a lock.
The smile does not guard the message
Semantics is not a substitute for encryption. The content of private communication travels encrypted from end to end. The dictionary stays to the side and does not guard the message in place of the lock.
A secure chat does not rely on a joke to stay private. If someone is holding the unlocked phone, the smile in the text does not hide the screen. The other article is about that: who guards the screen.
When it will be in the app
When the dictionary is ready for a wide audience, the app itself will have clear instructions. Until then you can follow the blog and sign up if you are looking for a secret chat for people close to you.
